Abstract:

The main challenging issue in vehicular communication is the traffic jam which implies interferences towards awareness messages exchange between vehicles. Furthermore, the great increase of traffic density is accompanied with a demand of advanced services especially due to high connectivity demand. For this, in this survey we investigate different approaches for congestion control considering New Radio (NR) 5G as enabler supporting vehicle to vehicle (V2V) communication improving traffic safety. 5G technology is envisioned to provide much advanced reliable services with the ability of a huge data exchange. The idea is to mitigate traffic jam taking into account the required quality of service of each active vehicle considering sidelink communication of 5G NR mode 2. The optimization framework is based on determining the optimal transmitted power through geometric programming (GP) policy. The problem is formulated by considering data rate maximization following a decentralized context. Computer results highlight the allocated power among different cars together with the achieved capacity.
