Abstract:

Currently, different type of visually impaired people project have been done in order to help them for directing from one place to another. In this context, this project propose an advance visually impaired people stick for guiding individuals who are blind or partially sighted. The designed stick is used to enable blind people to ease and confidence as a sighted people. A clearer understanding of limitations and errors of blind people stick could be picked up by study the different existing project. However, this study is focusing on the problems in detection of obstacles by the Ultrasonic sensor and errors in the ultrasonic output signal due to vibration of the stick movement. The project linked with one way communication path in a wireless fashion between stick and vibrating pad. In addition, a solar panel is used as a power for the stick side during sunlight and this will result in lower power consumption and hence avoiding total power drainage. The objectives of this project have been achieved by using Arduino UNO as a device which control the other components as the two Ultrasonic sensors, and with the help of the Arduino software to program the sensors for detection.
