Abstract:


Improved technique for compositional analysis of polar solvents injected in micro-capillaries has been discussed. Traditional compositional analysis methods provide information about volumetric fraction, permittivity, permeability and electric conductivity of liquids and these parameters are being largely used in pharmaceutical, fertilizer, chemical and other synthesizing industries. Analysis is based upon resonant perturbation method which is superior to other traditional techniques and offers speedy analysis with high degree of precision. Resonant perturbation technique is non-contact (involving very little human intervention) and nondestructive (no liquid losses). Quality factor and resonant frequency of resonators were measured to infer simulated results of resonant systems. Simulation is performed using HFSS.v13. Sensitivity of structures loaded with split ring and split ball resonator has been compared. Design frequency of simulated cavity enclosing ball structure is 4.92 GHz and that comprising of ring structure is 2.46 GHz. Split ball resonant (SBR) structure has high Quality factor as compared to split ring resonator (SRR), so it can offer increased sensitivity and higher degree of precision.
