Over one million organizations have implemented ISO 9001:2008. Therefore, it is assumed that top management can make a commitment to requirements if they are mapped with ISO 9001:2008. In this paper, discipline- free requirements for top management are illustrated, as well as, how the management systems requirements can be integrated with ISO 9001:2008. Two Annex SL based standards ISO 22301:2012 (business continuity management) and ISO 55001:2014 (asset management) are compared. Furthermore, the generic Annex SL framework is compared with the standard ISO/IEC 20000-1:2001 (service management system), and after comparison the technical report ISO/IEC 90006:2013, which provides guidelines for the integration of a quality management requirements (ISO 9001:2008) and a service management system requirements (ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011), is used to illustrate how the management systems requirements can be integrated with ISO 9001:2008.
