The globalised economy comes with an extra demand for ICT skills among the graduates. This is due to the roles of ICT when performing a number of basic activities in the workplaces. The majority of studies which discusses ICT skills on employability deal with technical enterprises. In non-technical companies such as construction, manufacturing and agriculture, ICT is perceived to be among the basic skill-set of graduates. However, due to the ongoing advancement of technology, the demand of graduates with the required basic ICT knowledge is increasing significantly. This study aims to explore and understand the type of ICT skills that are required from graduates. This study uses Value-Focused Thinking (VFT) to understand and identify possible ways of articulating ICT skills necessary for employability within the SMEs. This study identified five main fundamental issues that have to be taken into account by the stakeholders in order to make sure that ICT graduates are more employable within the SMEs. The results were analysed after interviewing 12 graduates and managers in Tanzania.
