Abstract:

Long before technology was developed, people had to rely on observations, patterns and their experience to predict the weather. Observers reported that the animals have senses that warned them of weather by several hours or just seconds, which allowed animals and people to heed those warnings for the chance to find safety. People sometimes are out of touch with weather reports and are ignorant of what the weather could be may cost them their lives. Therefore, the author develops a novel climatic forecasting system that can be used in the field for providing short-term weather forecasts for regions near the seas and oceans. The prediction system is a knowledge-based that incorporates behavior of both the birds and a sea animal called the crab and their relationships with the change in weather. Moreover, it provides advice regarding sailings and navigations.
